Mission and ministry at Badin center students in faith, service, and community.

Mission & Ministry

Mission and Ministry is alive and well at Badin High School through daily instruction, retreats, monthly liturgies and more. Our students are serving our community with fervor and faith. Please pray for us as we continue to guide our students on their faith journeys.

Mission & Ministry Programs

All students attend a class retreat each year. For more information about our retreats, please see our Retreats page here

The Christian Service Program at Badin High School is an intentional four-year program that invites students to actively live out the teachings of Christ, to engage in conversations of the Gospel’s call for justice, to become other-centered in a culture that focuses primarily on self. Students are encouraged to grow in their awareness of social justice issues and to participate in meaningful service experiences, bettering both themselves and our community in the process. For more information about our retreats, please see our Christian Service Program page here

Badin celebrates all-school Liturgy every month. Students help with the preparation, participation and music for each mass. Parents and friends of Badin are welcome to join us at any mass.

Badin begins and ends each day with prayer. Morning prayers are selected each day to follow holidays, special occasions and important events.

Badin's Campus Ministry Team (BFF - Badin’s Firm Foundation) provides outreach to the local and larger communities when a need arises.
Whether a 'gift card drive' for a community hit by a natural disaster, lighting candles with a prayer in the yard of community members who are experiencing a hard time, or a 'Holiday Sing Along' at a local retirement community, we are always ready to make a difference.

A Christian Prayer Wall is a designated place for people to post their prayer needs and intentions. In response, a community of believers will pray for the posted requests. Prayer “walls” can even be found online, amongst a community of believers, where one can find prayer requests from fellow believers on these sites. At Badin, we have a prayer wall outside the Office of Campus Ministry. Students, faculty, staff, friends, and family are invited to post prayer requests on the Badin Prayer Wall. Please let us offer our prayers for your intentions. Together our prayers have greater strength. (Prayer requests will be left on the wall until the person who wrote it chooses to erase his/her prayer request or until we have run out of room, at which time older requests will be removed to make room for newer ones.) Only appropriate requests will be permitted.

May God bless you and keep you today and everyday!

Campus Ministry aims at supporting all students emotionally, socially and spiritually as they navigate the journey of high school. Families and students are encouraged to reach out if students are in need of faith based support. Every effort is made to work with the counseling office to best help our students!

Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur

Students participating in the Sisters of Notre Dame Leadership Conference.

On October 18, 2018, Badin High School was blessed to sign a re-affiliation agreement with the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. As founders of Badin, the charisms of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur are a vital part of our mission at Badin. The Hallmarks of a Notre Dame Learning Community are guiding principles for the entire Badin Community. The relationship that has been established with the Sisters of Notre Dame has brought great honor and joy to our students, faculty, staff and community!

Each summer, 8 -10 students (nominated by the religion department for their active school leadership and faith lives) are invited to represent Badin at the Sisters of Notre Dame Leadership Conference at Emmanuel College in Boston Ma. Upon their return from the conference, these students will serve as the SND Leadership Team. They will assist in the assimilation of the Hallmarks of a Notre Dame Learning Community into the culture of Badin High School, and also serve as the liaisons between the sisters, Badin High School, and the other local SND schools in our area.
