Badin Student Volunteer Recognition

Butler County Special Olympics (BCSO) would like to recognize and thank two special Badin High School students, Ben Vornhagen and Sam Fischer for their service.

Ben and Sam spent the last year volunteering for BCSO. This past winter, they volunteered for BCSO Recreational Basketball in which they helped coach 4 basketball teams, consisting of 60 athletes.

This spring, Ben and Sam volunteered with the BCSO Track and Field team of 17 athletes. They accompanied the BCSO Team to the 2024 Ohio State Summer Games the weekend of June 28-30 at Ohio State University. This year, Ohio Special Olympics welcomed over 2700 athletes and unified partners, 85 local community-based programs, 850 coaches, and approximately 1000 volunteers over three action-filled days. Ben and Sam competed in a Unified 4 x 100M relay with two of the BCSO top runners placing first and receiving gold medals.

Ben and Sam’s dedication to service and compassion for the community are an inspiration. These fine young men have bright futures. Thank you for their support and dedication.

BCSO is always looking for student and adult volunteers and support. Check out the BCSO website: https://bcospecialolympics.org/
