Badin inducts 39 students into its NHS chapter

Badin High School inducted 39 students into its National Honor Society chapter on Thursday, Sept. 17, during its annual evening ceremony in the school’s Mulcahey Gym.

“These students have embraced their high school experience all across the board,” Badin Principal Patrick Keating ’07 said. “They have shown academic excellence, but also made an impact in so many ways that has made a positive infuence at Badin High School. They are following in the footsteps of giants – students who have come before them – and they have set a high standard for those who will follow after them.”

National Honor Society recognizes students who excel in academics, character, service and leadership. The Sept. 17 event – the 82nd in the history of Badin High School – added 15 seniors, 10 juniors, and 14 sophomores to Badin’s NHS chapter. It brings the current membership to 62 students, with 23 current members being inducted during the 2025-26 school year.

Each inductee was introduced with a paragraph they had written about something or someone meaningful in their lives. NHS officers Caitlin Brown, Lily Tischler and Maddie Anthony were the readers at the event. Principal Patrick Keating and Assistant Principal Patty Gibbons introduced the inductees. Mr. Keating added keynote remarks, and senior Caitlin Brown, the president of NHS at Badin, was the master of ceremonies.

Seniors inducted Thursday night included Aubree Barnette, Abbi Dizney, Maguire Francis, Sophia Hart, Izaiah Heinrich, Catherine Hoeting, Aiden Kramer, Mackenzie Lutterbie, Annie Middendorf, Carley Nadler, Misha Patel, Adalynn Pressler, Elly Raines, Hans Wolterman and Zack Zettler.

Juniors inducted included Jacob Aichele, Caden Brandabur, Kendall Bridge, Anthony Garcia, Eli Grammel, Addyson Nguyen, Rylyn Reynolds, Scarlette Starks, Madelynn Veite and Claire Williams.

Sophomores inducted included Maria Anthony, Scarlet Brandabur, Allison Evers, Adrian Flores-Ramirez, Nick Follick, Callie Gibbons, Reese Harris, Amelia Kessler, Autumn Roush, Cadence Rumpke, Jack Schuckman, Luke Thompson, Sophia Yantes and Lillien Ziepfel.

Badin’s National Honor Society officers – all seniors – are: Caitlin Brown, president; Lily Tischler, vice president of involvement; Maddie Anthony, vice president of service; and Gabi Samples, secretary. Mr. Jordan Seitz and Mrs. Whitney Oliver are Badin’s NHS faculty moderators.
