Battle for the Troops

Badin High School students collected more than 4,200 non-perishable items to donate to military personnel in the Middle East during their "Battle for the Troops" friendly competition with Ross High School the week of Sept. 7. The Athletes Making Progress (AMP) organization spearheaded the effort. As the AMP students put it, "Days to gather items: Four. Items collected: More than 4,200. The opportunity to help our armed forces in the Middle East: Priceless."
